2009-02-05: Cpanel: Various Issues and Status (Control Panel, POP)
- In early 2007, the eventual phase-out of the Cpanel environment was announced as described in
2007-01-22: Cpanel: Various Issues.
In November and December 2008, all Cpanel customers were sent email at their Cpanel contact email address reminding them of the phase-out. On December 28 2008, our Cpanel license permanently expired. After this the control panel was no longer accessible.
Effective February 4, 2009, the POP server became inaccessible due to the expired license.
The Cpanel control panel and the POP server will no longer work. The IMAP server should still be working, and your web site should still be up. You should also be able to get most, but not necessarily all, mail via the Squirrelmail web interface.
